Better by Practice is an independent publication about focused recall exercises and inspectable practice notes. Published by Awesome Patel in Chicago, it connects clear questions, checked reference answers and careful self-assessment.
The Recall Deck is a small browser workspace for that sequence. The guides explain how to write a prompt, compare an attempt and read a session record without turning a personal judgment into a claim of measured ability.
The publisher

Editorial standards
AI assists with research organization and drafting. The linked primary research and university guidance provide context; original examples, tool behavior and editorial suggestions are identified separately.
Keep the reference inspectable
We link to primary research and university teaching resources. A study is described within its tested setting; we do not claim that a study validated this tool.
Separate an example from evidence
The paper museum and example practice records are invented. They demonstrate a workflow and are not participant data, experiments or testimonials.
Describe the tool honestly
The tool displays answers supplied by the deck author and records user-selected labels. It performs no grading, diagnosis, adaptive scheduling or measurement of learning.
Give dates a real meaning
Guide publication and revision dates are recorded in source. Rebuilding the website or revisiting a reference does not automatically advance those dates.
Make a correction useful
Report a specific page, claim and supporting source to privacy@betterbypractice.com. Substantive corrections receive an updated revision date.
These resources organize self-assessed practice. They are not medical advice, an educational assessment or a guarantee of retention, skill or exam performance.
Using the workbench
Cards, imported deck files, attempts and notes are processed in this browser. The tool does not submit their contents, set up an account or automatically save them. Export a deck or session record to keep a file; reloading can discard unsaved work. Ordinary page requests and website analytics are described in the Privacy policy.
